Terrorism and Globalization
Terrorism is the act of using violence or intimidation to civilians by illegal militias for political influence. Through advancement in technology, especially social media, the actions of terrorism are becoming an international enigma. In recent years, the acts of terrorism are proliferating with many new formations of the militia groups, especially in Islamic states. Examples of extremist groups include Isis, Jihad, Boko Haram, al-Qaeda, and Mujahedeen, which are linked to terror attacks such as bombing, hacking, and abduction resulting in many deaths, injuries, destruction of properties, and other economic losses. A prime example of terrorist attack is the 9/11 bombing in the US that claimed 2996 lives, over 6000 injuries and billions of losses in infrastructures. This paper will explore the globalisation of terrorist attacks, causes, and effects.
