Roosevelts

Roosevelts are all Relative   Both President Roosevelt ushered in a new period of reform, domestically rapidly expanding the scope and power of the federal government in social reform, public assistance and welfare as well as the idea the power of the president in certain cases is absolute.  In international politics treaties were negotiated, canals build, fascists leaders confronted and eventually destroyed.  One Roosevelt was the first of his second in progressivism, the second Roosevelt confronted two of the biggest crisis of the twentieth century, ultimately which Roosevelt was just better.   Number One: Please do not panic, you only need to discuss one throughout the entire paper, just one Roosevelt and that is the topic for the entire paper.   Paper Tips

Number Two: As this is essentially a analytical portrait the textbook must be the main source of information, however you are allowed ONE outside electronic source.  Please note this is a secondary source, no Wikipedia, no Encyclopedia, no White House biographies. The source needs to be a credible academic source, journal articles are fine.  Please note only one outside source.  

1. In the introduction define in a brief paragraph the overarching theme of leadership in domestic and international policy. Why is “your” Roosevelt the idea model for a twentieth century president for a United States with a new industrial and economic standing in the world.
2. Define the major “domestic” reforms and challenges “your” Roosevelt faced during his time in office, this could be economic, legal, union and labor challenges or personal crusades.
3. Examine the international landscape during their time in office, expand on the major international victories and losses. How did “your” Roosevelt expand the standing at the United States as an international power.
4. In the conclusion define why the Roosevelt chosen ultimately proved to be the strongest.
