You are asked to select a public health issue relevant to people with a learning disability (LD) from the 4 statements below and write this as a 3000 word essay. This requires you to read public health literature as well as relevant legislation, frameworks and policy, to inform your writing.
For this 3000 essay you will critically discuss in relation to your chosen statement how public health policy has both supported and negatively impacted upon the health needs of people with a LD. You are required to draw on examples that you have observed/experienced in practice, and to reflect on how these policies, legislations and frameworks are reflected in learning disability provision.
